The VisionEvery kid should have the chance to succeed.

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and/or fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities. It affects up to 1 in 5 Americans.

With proper help, many people with dyslexia can learn to read and write well. Early identification and treatment is key to helping individuals with dyslexia achieve in school and in life. Unfortunately, properly education dyslexic children is resource intensive and most schools are neither equipped nor motivated to provide it.

Mission StatementTo help working families bridge the financial gap to an Odyssey education.

The Odyssey School is a unique co-educational community designed to provide specialized academic programming for students with dyslexia and other language learning differences from age five through eighth grade. It is within a climate of unconditional positive regard that The Odyssey School focuses on developing the full potential of each child. The academic program and teaching approach are based on the most recent research on how dyslexic students learn and thrive.

This approach, although wildly successful, is labor intensive. The Odyssey School maintains a student/teacher ratio of 3:1. And that is an expensive proposition.

At $38,000 in annual tuition per child, an Odyssey education is out of reach for most working families. Our mission is to help them bridge that gap and give their children a chance at an Odyssey education.
